What we collect, and why
Zayr is an online jewellery shop based in Lahore. This page explains what we record when you place an order or browse the site, what we use it for, and how to opt out.
When you order
Your name, phone number, delivery address, city and — if you give it — email address. We use them to confirm the order by phone, hand the parcel to the courier, send your confirmation and handle exchanges. The courier receives what it needs to deliver. We do not sell or rent this information.
When you create an account
Your name, email, optional phone number and a password stored as a one-way hash, which we cannot read. The account keeps your order history and your wishlist.
When you browse
To understand how the shop is used and where it gets in people’s way, we record visits: a random visitor id kept in your browser, the pages you open, how long each was on screen, how far you scrolled, where on the page you clicked, the kind of device and browser, and the site or link that brought you here. If you are signed in, the visit is linked to your account; if a visit ends in an order, it is linked to that order.
We never record what you type into forms. Clicks inside a form field keep only their position. This data is kept for 180 days and then deleted.
We also use Google Analytics for traffic reports, and may use Microsoft Clarity to watch anonymised recordings of visits and Meta Pixel to measure advertising. Each of these sets its own cookies and has its own privacy policy.
Opting out
If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, our own visit recording switches off entirely. You can also clear the site’s storage in your browser settings at any time, which removes the visitor id.
