Bulk jewellery orders for weddings, teams and events: how to plan one

Twelve matching bracelets for the groom’s friends is a simple order. It gets complicated only when the sizes arrive the day before the baraat.

To plan a bulk jewellery order, choose the piece early, collect everyone’s sizes before contacting the seller, and allow several weeks before the date rather than several days. Send the seller one message with the item, quantity, sizes, delivery city and deadline, and ask them to confirm stock before you commit. Most delays in group orders come from missing sizes and stock checks, not from the courier.

Bulk orders in Pakistan tend to come from a handful of occasions: matching pieces for a groom’s friends at a baraat or walima, gifts for a bride’s sisters and cousins at the mehndi, Eid gifts for a large family, team gifts at year-end, and giveaways for events. The planning is the same for all of them.

Pick a piece that forgives sizing

The bigger the group, the more the choice of piece matters. Every size you have to collect is a message you have to chase.

PieceSizing neededGroup-order friendliness
Chain, menLength only, and one length suits mostVery easy

Bracelet with adjustable or extender claspRough wrist rangeEasy
Fixed-length braceletWrist measurement for each personManageable
BanglesHand measurement for each personFiddly
RingsExact size for each personHardest; plan extra time for exchanges

For groomsmen, a chain or bracelet is the practical choice. Rings look lovely in the photos and are the most likely to need swapping afterwards. If you do go with bracelets, how to size a men’s bracelet explains the wrist measurement to ask everyone for. Whatever you choose, keep the finish identical across the group. Mixing a silver-tone piece with a gold-tone one in the same line of photographs looks like a mistake, and ordering everything in one go from one seller is the easiest way to make sure the colours match exactly. If a few extra people might join late, order one or two spares in the most common size rather than placing a second order later.

A realistic timeline

These are planning buffers, not promises from any seller. Stock and courier conditions vary, and shaadi season and Eid are the busiest times of year.

Weeks before the dateWhat should be done
5 – 6 weeksChoose the piece and a backup. Contact the seller about stock for your quantity
4 – 5 weeksCollect all sizes. Confirm the final quantity and delivery address with the seller
3 – 4 weeksOrder placed and confirmed
2 – 3 weeksDelivered. Check every piece against the list the same day
1 – 2 weeksAny exchanges done, pieces wrapped and labelled with names
Final weekNothing left to do but hand them out

Collecting sizes without chaos

  1. Make one list with name, size and phone number. A shared note or spreadsheet works better than scrolling back through a group chat.
  2. Send everyone the same simple measuring instruction, with the unit stated. Half the errors in group orders are centimetres read as inches.
  3. Set a deadline a week before you actually need the sizes.
  4. For anyone who does not reply, choose the most common size in the group or the adjustable option rather than holding up the whole order.
  5. Keep the list after ordering. It is what you check the delivered pieces against.

What to include when you contact the seller

One complete message gets a useful answer. Five partial ones get five partial replies.

  • The exact product name or link, and the colour or finish.
  • Total quantity, and the breakdown by size.
  • The date you need them by, and the city they are going to.
  • Whether everything goes to one address or to several people separately.
  • Whether you need any names or labels on individual packages.
  • A question about stock, and whether a price for quantity is possible. Ask rather than assume.

For us, that message goes to +92 334 4008322 on WhatsApp or to queries@zayrclothing.com, and the contact page has both. We will tell you what is in stock and how quickly it can ship before you order anything. Our men’s pieces are 316L stainless steel, and gold and black tones are PVD, which matters for a group gift that will be worn in the heat of a summer wedding.

Payment and delivery on a large order

We take cash on delivery only, including for larger orders, with shipping free over Rs. 5,000. On a big COD order, think about who will be at the door with the full amount in cash, and whether splitting the order into a few parcels would be easier to receive. Expect a confirmation call before a large order ships, which is also the best moment to catch a wrong size on your list.

If pieces are going to several addresses, each is effectively its own delivery with its own COD amount. For weddings, delivering everything to one person and handing the pieces out is almost always simpler.

On the day it arrives

  • Open and count everything the same day, and check each piece against your size list.
  • Photograph anything wrong and message the seller straight away while there is time to fix it.
  • Keep every box and pouch. Exchanges need the original packaging.
  • Label each box with a name before they get mixed up.

If the order is for the groom’s side, our guide to groom jewellery for the nikah and walima covers what the groom himself might wear alongside the group.

A group order is a sizing project with a delivery at the end. Get the list right and the rest is easy.

Common questions

How far in advance should I place a bulk jewellery order?

Several weeks ahead is sensible, and around five to six weeks before the date gives time to check stock, collect sizes, deliver and handle any exchanges. In wedding season or before Eid, add another week, since sellers and couriers are at their busiest.

What jewellery is best for groomsmen gifts?

Chains and bracelets are the most practical because they need little or no individual sizing. Matching steel bracelets or chains in the same finish look coordinated in photos and suit most men. Rings look good but need exact sizes and are more likely to need exchanges.

Do sellers give discounts on bulk jewellery orders?

Some do and some do not, and it varies by piece and quantity. The only way to know is to ask when you first contact the seller, giving the exact item and quantity. Do not plan your budget around a discount until it has been confirmed in writing.

Can a bulk order be delivered to different addresses?

Often yes, but each address becomes a separate parcel with its own delivery and, on cash on delivery, its own payment at the door. For weddings and events, delivering everything to one organiser and handing pieces out is usually simpler and cheaper.
